A holiday experience that gives back. Winter Splendor at Hideout Mountain brings families together in a magical winter setting filled with festive décor, cozy gathering spaces, the county’s highest ice rink, breathtaking lake views, hot cocoa, bonfires, and unforgettable igloo dining experiences. Proceeds from the event proudly support foster care and special-needs families.

Where is Winter Splendor located?
Hideout Mountain (San Diego Mountain Lodge), 27413 California 76, Santa Ysabel, CA 92070 — 5 miles from Julian.
What is included with a ticket?
Access to Upper & Lower Grounds, Kids’ Game Zone, live entertainment, selfie stations, maze & games, Polar Peak Ice Rink, and 10–20 activity tickets (extra tickets available at the info kiosk).
Is parking available on site?
Yes, limited parking is available. We encourage taking the bus, especially during busy times.
How long are skating sessions?
Each session lasts 45 minutes, with up to 60 skaters per session.
What should I wear?
Dress in layers, with long pants and closed-toe shoes. Most activities are outdoors, so be prepared for changing temperatures.
Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
Yes, all tickets must be purchased ahead of time. No cash accepted on site.
Is food included?
No. Food is available for purchase on site. Grab-and-go items are recommended, or visit the Igloo Dining area for a special experience.
Do I need to pay extra for ice skating?
Yes. Rentals are $5, or bring your own skates. Use your activity tickets or purchase more as needed.
